Message from the CEO on COVID 19

I’d like to provide an update regarding Reach Production Solutions’ response to the Corona Virus Pandemic. But before doing so, we hope that you and your families are safe, and to also give a heartfelt thank you to those in the medical and health profession whom are selflessly working hard to keep all of us safe in these uncertain times.
Our crisis response effort, with a ‘safety first’ mindset, started preparing for a potential pandemic in early February – ordering a modest quantity of PPE, hand sanitizer ingredients and sterilization supplies to protect our employees and stakeholders in the event of an outbreak. In late February, once community spread was occurring in the US, we prepared our team on the corona virus status, and readied them for precautions and preparations to take both at work and at home. As soon as the World Health Organization declared a pandemic in early March, we immediately enacted our operational response plans by moving to critical operations only, with the majority of the team working from home. And like most people, this is where we continue to be – to best protect our employees and stakeholders, and to responsibly reduce the likelihood of virus spread and risk to the medical profession.
By mid-March it became clearer the situation would be protracted – so we made changes to our business, operational and financial plans by tightening our belts collectively across the company and readying ourselves for a longer period of the ‘new normal’. We have effectively been able to continue most business activity including well modeling, product development and endurance testing via remote flow loop operations, engineering, and project delivery – a credit to the whole Reach team. We temporarily suspended field operations, and are working alongside our customers to resume operations once it is prudent and safe to do so. Additionally, we have procured the necessary PPE and supplies to further mitigate risks once field operations resume. We reached out to our suppliers, who are continuing to support our activity through their own critical operations. As a result, we are effectively working to support our customers, and to do so in a way that is responsible.
We are also fortunate that we could donate PPE, hand sanitizer and sterilization supplies beyond just our own team, to our stakeholders and also to the medical profession. It was particularly gratifying to send a large consignment of supplies from Reach directly to a New York hospital in Brooklyn, where we felt the need was most acute and we could make the biggest difference.
These are unprecedented times, bringing uncertainties and concerns for many. Unfortunately, for some, it will be accompanied by grief due to direct impact from the virus itself, and our sympathies are with them and their families. For the rest of us, we’ll need to work through this together to overcome the inevitable challenges ahead in a responsible way. At Reach, we are pleased that we can continue to support our customers throughout this period – and personally, I am very proud of how the entire Reach team has responded to the challenge thus far.
